Saralaa Booking Terms & Condition

OVERVIEW
Please read our terms and conditions carefully before you book a trip with us. These terms and conditions are a legally binding contract between you and saralaa. Saralaa reserves the right to update and amend these terms and conditions at any time. The latest terms and conditions can always be found on our website and mobile application and will supersede any previous versions.
Booking your trip
You can book your trip through our website or our mobile application and follow the procedure shown on our website/mobile application. You must fill in the required forms and return it to us together with payments described below. You must provide us genuine information and if it comes to our notice that any of your information provided is false, we will cancel your booking. In such situation, cancellation charges as set out in our saralaa travels cancellation and refund policy will apply and we will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred as a result.
You will receive an email confirming your booking once we accept your booking and this contract comes in to force once you receive your confirmation email and you shall be bound by our terms and conditions. Kindly note we act as a travel agency and we use services of third party service providers and suppliers. Therefore, in addition to saralaa’s terms and conditions, you will be bound by their terms and conditions.
You must be over 18 years of age to use our website/mobile application. In the event of any violation of any of these terms and conditions saralaa is entitled to cancel your booking and /or retain your deposits or payments made or to deny you of any related service provided by us.
Payments
You can make your payments in the following ways:
- make a full payment for your trip at the time you are booking your trip or
- pay a non-refundable deposit of LKR—— per person per trip for your booking to be confirmed and the full balance must be paid on or before the date we notify you. If full payment is not received on or before the date due for balance payment, we will treat your booking as cancelled and retain your deposit.
- however, if your booking is made within —— days prior to the departure you must pay the full amount at the time of your booking.
There may be changes in the price in the event of increase of suppliers such as hotels and transport services and increases in the cost of fuel, taxes, fees and exchange rates etc. in which event you will have to pay the increased prices even after you have made full payment. Therefore, we reserve the right to vary the price quoted at any time due to such reasons which are beyond our control.
Please note that the price of your trip includes only accommodation, transport, sightseeing and meals listed in our itinerary which is set out in detail on our website/mobile application. [the services of a group leader] and does not include visa & passport fees, airport transport, excess baggage charges, meals, travel insurance, activities and travel expenses not in our itinerary, taxes, other personal expenses and any non-refundable charges, which must be borne by you.
Cancellation by Saralaa
We reserve the right to cancel a booking at any time due to terrorism, natural disaster or any force majeure event which is beyond our control. For more information please go to saralaa travels cancellation and refund policy.
Our Responsibilities
Your satisfaction is our priority and we at saralaa, strive to provide you with the best hassle-free travel experience. However, we may not be able to guarantee you a 100% satisfactory trip due to reasons beyond our control.
Kindly understand that, in providing you travel related services we work with suppliers such as hotels and transport services etc. and that saralaa cannot be held responsible for any wrongful, unlawful and/or negligent act or omission on part of the said third-party service providers, as we have no authority over them. If your flight is delayed or cancelled, saralaa will not be liable to refund or pay you any compensation. In any such event you will have to contact the airline in order to obtain a refund or other compensation as may be applicable according to their terms and conditions.
We will also not be responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss (including loss of possessions and loss of enjoyment), damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim whatsoever which results from your negligence.
Your Responsibility
In order to have a satisfactory tour experience it is your responsibility to make sure all your travel documents are valid and is in your possession to produce as and when required.
It is your responsibility to use all reasonable skill and care while you are on your holiday and we will only be responsible for the acts or omissions of our employees, agents and suppliers done within the course of their employment.
Travel Insurance
We advise our customers to obtain adequate personal travel insurance which will come in to use in the event of an accident, death, medical expenses, loss of luggage and other personal items.
It is your duty to ensure you are properly vaccinated as some destinations may require you to be vaccinated.
Changes in Itinerary
If you wish to make any changes to your travel arrangements you must inform us in writing, at least 40 days prior to the departure date. Changes will not be accepted after 40 days by saralaa. [this time period should be in line with the cancellation policy]. Kindly note that any changes requested by you may be subjected to additional charges.
Also note that, the itinerary may vary at any time due to changes beyond our control or unforeseen circumstances in which event we will inform you of the changes and you will have to bear the additional costs, fees, etc. Saralaa will not be liable for such changes in an itinerary.
Complaints
Your complaints about your trip shall be informed to your group leader [if one is appointed], our local representative or the relevant supplier at the time of its occurrence. If you are unable to rectify your compliant through them, you can contact saralaa through our below mentioned contact information within 30 days of occurrence of the incident.
Applicable Law
This agreement shall be governed by the Sri Lankan law and in the event of any dispute, controversy or claim arising from, out of or in connection with this contract, or on the interpretation thereof or on the rights, duties, obligation, or liabilities of any parties thereto or on the operation, breach, termination or invalidity thereof, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka and the place of arbitration shall be Colombo.
