Saralaa Booking Cancellation & Refund Policy

- General Disclaimer:
Saralaa Booking acts solely in the capacity of an agent for hotels, airlines, transport services, and/or contractors providing accommodation, transport, and other services to the client. These transport, hotel, and other services are provided by independent suppliers who are not affiliated with Saralaa. While we make every effort to select the best third-party suppliers, we do not control their operations. Therefore, Saralaa cannot be held responsible for any inconveniences caused directly or indirectly by any supplier due to their negligence, arbitrary acts, or omissions, which are beyond our control.
- Booking and Cancellation:
Once you have submitted your booking application with us, we will begin the submission process within the timeframe indicated in your application. However, if you make three consecutive booking cancellations, we reserve the right to block your account, preventing you from using our services through our website/mobile application. This measure is taken to prevent fraudulent and/or unlawful use of our services.Once full payment is made by you, we will book your hotel and undertake the responsibility to make the payment to the relevant hotel service provider once your check-in process is complete.We will not be liable to provide refunds if you do not or cannot utilize any of the services (e.g., hotels, sightseeing, rides, cruises, meals, entrance fees, optional tours, etc.) due to any reason whatsoever. Refunds due to personal changes or simple cancellation of travel are not accepted by Saralaa.You can cancel your booking through our website and/or mobile application.
- Refunds:
Your refund will be issued in Sri Lankan Rupees within 14 working days of your request to cancel your booking. This time period may vary due to reasons beyond our control. Please note that we collect and refund online payments in Sri Lankan Rupees. When we issue a refund, your bank will convert it from Sri Lankan Rupees, which may result in minor differences in the refund amount you receive, depending on the exchange rates at the time of the refund. For more details on refunds, kindly refer to the third-party supplier policies on cancellation and refunds.
- Cancellation Policy:
In order to provide the highest level of service with top guides and guaranteed tour departures, cancellations and amendments may be subject to fees. This policy applies to bookings made through our website/mobile application on a per-person and per-tour basis.Kindly note that the cancellation and refund policies may vary based on each of our third-party hotel service providers. Saralaa will only charge a 10% service fee and will not charge any additional fees for booking cancellations. However, if the hotel issues a refund to you, we may charge a fee to cover the bank charges incurred.The hotel service provider has the sole discretion in determining whether or not you are entitled to a refund. They may, in their cancellation and refund policy, specify deadlines for canceling your booking and may set cancellation fees. You may either receive:A 100% refund if you cancel your booking within the time period specified by the hotel.A partial refund at a percentage determined by the hotel if the booking is canceled within the time specified by the hotel.No refund at all if the booking is canceled after the expiration of the time period allowed by the hotel.Information on the deadlines, refund amounts, and whether the hotel is offering a refund may also be available to you on our website if the hotel service provider has made such information available to us.In the event of a change of mind or booking made by mistake, you can cancel your booking within 2 hours, and Saralaa undertakes to provide a 100% refund to you.
- Rescheduling:
You may reschedule your booking subject to the availability of rooms on the new dates. You are allowed to reschedule within 14 days from the date of your first booking. If you do not reschedule within 14 days, you will not receive any refund.Rescheduling can be done directly through our website or app. In the event you face any issues with rescheduling your booking, you may contact us via email, and we will assist in contacting the hotel to reschedule your booking, subject to room availability.A rescheduling fee may be charged depending on the hotel’s policy. The new booking may be subject to the current rates, which could be higher or lower than the original booking. If the new rate is higher, the difference in price must be paid by you.If you make a request to reschedule but do not confirm your reservation, you will not be refunded. If you decide not to reschedule, you may cancel your booking subject to the terms and conditions in our cancellation policy mentioned above.
- Late Arrivals and No Shows:
Late arrivals and no shows are non-refundable. This applies to any tour participant who fails to arrive or arrives after the tour departure.
- Changes to the Cancellation Policy:
From time to time, the terms of this policy may change at our discretion. In the event of such changes, the new policy will apply to all tours booked after the date and time of the policy change. For any further questions about our cancellation policy, please feel free to email us.
- Tax Liability Clause:
All payments, including but not limited to refunds, credits, and adjustments made under this agreement, are subject to applicable taxes as per the laws and regulations of Sri Lanka. The customer acknowledges and agrees that any taxes, levies, or charges imposed by the government or any regulatory authority, including Value-Added Tax (VAT) or any other applicable taxes, shall be borne by the customer. In the event of a refund, the refunded amount will be calculated after deducting applicable taxes, where required by law.
